So many things to do and say…

Holy crap life is busy.

This is what’s been going on lately: I switched my major (from Japanese to English as a Second Language and East Asian Studies), dropped Japanese class, replaced it with two other classes (still to take place this semester) (Beginning Technology Skills (lol) and Career Development Skills (lol again)), I got a job working as a janitor in my building, I tutor a guy in English, I tutor a different guy in Clarinet, I just became an assistant in a psychological research study, I just joined a local jazz band, just talked with a local newspaper about religion, and am going to talk at an event next week about religion. Like I said: holy crap.

In other news, I like sleep. A lot. Too much. It’s not so much that I want the rest, but I want to dream, because I find them so fascinating. Which reminds me, I’ll post a BUNCH I’ve had recently in a day or so.

Also, I took a shower today, which is unusual. Haha I’m just messing with you there, but still. It’s nice to have my hair be all clean and happy. I did laundry today too, which completely rocks. I feel very fresh (not in a sexual way?) right now. It’s nice.

OH! And current event-related things…

Ellen! And her dog, Iggy! What does everyone think of that situation? I think it sucks the shelter took Iggy back, but they were following their own policies. I watched an interview with the owner of the shelter, and she said Ellen herself did not sign for the dog; it was her girlfriend. By giving Iggy to her hairdresser’s family, they broke shelter policy, but for the police to get involved, and for the public to get so pissed as to go far enough to threaten the shelter, that’s just absurd. I also feel badly for the hairdresser’s family. They got attached to the dog, and for it to be snatched away like that, when they were so innocent…that sucks. A lot. They didn’t know what had happened, probably, and so they took the dog happily, not knowing all this legal stuff would occur! Sad. Poor Iggy! I heard he’s got another home now, though.

I don’t know how many of you like Harry Potter, but did you all hear the news about J K Rowling saying Dumbledore was gay?! WTF! I have nothing against homosexuals, but wow…that is some pretty surprising news! Apparently he had a thing for Grindelwald (or who ever that wizard he fought in his youth was). Apparently that’s why we never heard of Albus having a girlfriend or female love interest! Very interesting. I thought that news was cool, though. Just sort of weird that we never really directly found out about that. Huh. Oh well!

I think I’m going to go eat a cookie. I just baked some chocolate chip ones. Yum.

Friday, after class, I came back and took an 8-hour power nap. Damn did it feel good! I think I enjoy sleep far too much. I can never get enough of it, especially during the week. Damn you, Conan O’Brien, for keeping me up to watch your very funny show that I love so much!

Today, I woke up around 9:45am, went and got 3, Armando, and T, and we all went to a cave that has an underground river. We took a boat ride through the river…it was very fun and interesting. I then came back (after dropping them off) and took…yet another power nap. This one lasted about 4.5 hours. I dreamt, but now I can’t remember what about. I’ll post it later if I remember.

Well, time to go tutor someone in English. He’s from Korea. It’s fun and awkward.
